Are you ever having a horribly bad day, but suddenly your phone lights up and you see that someone has texted you first?! It’s one of the most magnificent feelings in the whole world. It feels great when you know someone, anyone, is thinking about you and wants to talk to you. When that happens, you can feel the excitement building within yourself. When someone texts me first, I say to myself, “WOW. I HAVE A FRIEND *heart faced emoji*”

You’re searching for something to wear. Unaware of whether or not your mom has put the pants you want in the wash, you go downstairs and into your laundry room. You hear the sound of the dryer’s ding, stating that the clothes in it are ready for you. You open the door to the giant white machine to see the pants in which you desire, excited and ready to put them on. Sprinting up the steps and into your room, you rush to put on these newly clean and especially warm pants. It’s a moment of simple content that places your mind in a state of ease. Putting on these pants has lifted your mood a hundred notches, showing you that it is the little things in life that are truly awesome.
Everyone likes eating dessert but the best part of desert is making it. No matter how you make dessert from scratch or packets desert is something special. But brownies they are something else the creamy taste of melting chocolate. The best part of brownies are eating the leftover mix stuck to the bowl. The time spent making the batter is worth it in the end in order to taste that sweet uncooked batter. Some People are worried about getting salmonella but to me it's worth the risk. The smile it give you to taste that is worth it in the end it brings you back to your childhood.
I believe that making a paper airplane actually fly is very satisfying. I myself am not able to make very good paper airplanes and haven't felt like wasting my time to completely figure it out. In addition, figuring out how to construct a good paper airplane would ruin this fun for me. I enjoy just attempting to make the aircraft, throwing it, and waiting for it to either glide like a soaring eagle up in the heavens…….or end in a tragic titanic-esque scene. Just watching the plane glide through the air is a beautifully satisfying sight. Most important in this expedition is that it doesn't happen every time. The idea behind why it's so satisfying, for me at least, is that it isn't set to happen: it's a 50/50 chance, and when it happens it's celebratory worthy. It instills you with this momentary feeling of supreme power, and no limitations and you just wanna scream and shout for joy.
You get a phone call, an email, a text message or even a letter that explains the best news and automatically makes your day turn around. What is better than that. With the next chapter opening in my life, getting an email or a letter from the college of my dream saying “You are accepted” is a feeling like no other. Having your mom tell you that you can go out with your friends both friday and saturday night, after she said no, is a feeling like no other. Hearing the news that a family member is getting better after battling a hard illness, is a feeling like no other. Getting a test back that you thought you failed and you got an A on it, is a feeling like no other. Everyone some time in their lives we will be faced with bad news that is hard to overcome, but it is not the end of the world because good news is not far away.
Every time I go somewhere I feel as if I am rushed to the point where I need to speed to make it to wherever I’m going on time. On the way to school every morning I wake up late and am rushed and only on those days do I hit every red light or get stuck behind a 5 mph slower than the speed limit driver. Driving early morning to work to open the store I sometimes would have to be on the road by 3:45 am to open at 4. Normally it would take fifteen minutes because of normal traffic, but I miss every red light and make it in ten. Nobody is on the road and it is just me on a seemingly abandoned road to a destination that only I know and only to me it matters, knowing that in two hours the entire road will be filled with traffic sitting at red lights honking their horn. Late at night driving home from a friends house or work seems the same. Countless times I have drove home from work around twelve AM and I don't have to turn off my brights because not a single car will pass me. Just an easy stress free drive open to good music and easy positive vibes.
I have yet to meet someone who genuinely loves to wake up early in the morning for school. The dreadful noise when your alarm goes off and you have to get ready for the day. Dragging yourself out of bed, miserable.
Then there are the days where you wake up earlier then planned. You look at the clock and see you have an hour left to sleep. It’s the greatest feeling in the world. You do a little dance in your head and jump for joy (not literally because you’re still too tired to even blink). Even waking up and realizing you still have only ten minutes to sleep, it’s better than getting up at that very moment. It’s genuinely awesome. Benjamin Franklin once said,“A place for everything and everything in its place.”. There are so many things in life, and there are so many places to put things. If you were to ask me about my room I could tell you exactly where everything is because there is always the perfect spot for an object. For example, my favorite pair of pants, which are light pink by the way, are in my dresser the second shelf from the bottom in the back middle. Also, my hoodies are color coded in my closet starting with red all the way to black and navy. For example, my favorite grey Xavier hoodie is the 8th color in and it’s the 3rd grey hoodie in that section. You can’t even tell me that that isn’t awesome. Being organized is like my favorite thing in the world! All my binders for school are color coded by the color of the binder to the amount of how much I like the class. My papers in my binders are organized by most recent ones on the top. My locker is organized with my morning classes on the top and my afternoon classes at the bottom. My school assignment book is planned out for the next 2 weeks. When you're organized it’s so much easier to go through life and you have everything together. You are able to say where certain things are at any moment and you never get behind. It’s just the absolute best feeling in the world. As a matter of fact, it’s pretty AWESOME if I say so myself.
You’re sitting there, jamin’ out, and out of the clear blue THAT song comes on. It doesn’t matter whether it’s in your car, at practice, or maybe just in your room but that first note pops out and time stands still. In complete disbelief you listen further and it is infact what you thought it was. The song of all songs, a song with more memories than the mind can hold. And then you think to yourself, “Why did I ever forget about this song?” It has been a while, but you still remember the lyrics word for word. Suddenly you notice that your hand has been made into a fist and you are using it as a microphone. Maybe THAT song has the all important guitar solo, and yes you remember that too. If it does, you dust off the old air guitar and you beginning strumming away with a few Pete Townshend windmill strums or maybe a Chuck Berry duck walk. If you’re in the car with friends, it turns into the Wayne’s World Bohemian Rhapsody scene and life cannot seem to get any better. But nevertheless, the song is bound to end and with it the fun will as well.
The awesomeness of everything is everywhere. Everything is awesome in it’s own unique way. People are awesome. Materialistic things are awesome. The ability to fly is awesome. The vast unknown of the universe is awesome. People are often troubled by things that they don’t see as right or inferior but the beauty of it is that the reason it was or is that way was because of someone else thinking it was awesome. However unfortunately that leads to people believing in a lot of thing. A lot of things most people would not perceive as awesome. Still in their own minds they still believe that murder and terrorism are awesome based on ideology or just out of hatred. But then that takes away from the awesomeness because they don't think that particular thing is awesome but proving a point or showing someone something that they think is right is what they think is awesome and is why they do the terrible deeds people are capable of doing. But that only affects a few number of people. Anything can truly be awesome for awesome is like beauty : in the eyes of the beholder. What I think is awesome may not be what you think is awesome but they are both still awesome because someone thinks that it is awesome and that's all it takes is just one person to think something is awesome for it to be awesome. |
